After a serious accident with one dead and four injured in West Mecklenburg, the police are investigating the driver of the car on suspicion of negligent homicide. The 22-year-old from Berlin had an accident with his small car and four passengers on Saturday evening on a meadow in Granzin near Parchim, as a police spokesman explained on Sunday. The inmates are said to have come from a celebration.
The driver overlooked a ditch about three meters deep in the meadow and drove into it by car. The car overturned. A 20-year-old passenger was thrown out of the car and got under the car. The young woman from Berlin was injured so badly that she died at the scene of the accident.

The driver and a 20-year-old man from the car were seriously injured. Two 19 and 20 year old women who were in the car suffered minor injuries. Blood was drawn from the driver to clarify whether the 22-year-old was under alcohol or drugs. The car was totaled.
