Bergkamp will speak with informants about long-term formation on Monday

The chairman of the House of Representatives Vera Bergkamp has a meeting with informateurs Remkes and Koolmees on Monday about the duration of the formation of a new cabinet. Bergkamp wants a ‘time schedule’, the informants say they cannot give that.

Past Monday Bergkamp wrote a letter to the informants asking for clarification about the duration of the trial. She sees in society “increasingly signs of impatience.” The formation has now lasted 7.5 months.

From informants left the next day unable to plan. According to them, it is impossible to predict when a new cabinet can be sworn in. Substantive negotiations are being conducted and nothing can be disclosed about it.

The informateurs and negotiators of the four parties VVD, D66, CDA and ChristenUnie will also continue their consultations on Friday in the provincial government in Groningen.
