Bergerac. S. Pozzi Hospital and Pasteur Clinic: unity is strength

The public/private rapprochement between the S. Pozzi hospital center and the Pasteur clinic is progressing around surgery. The idea: to create a single place of surgical intervention.

The purpose of this merger between the S. Pozzi hospital and the Pasteur clinic? Create a single place to perform surgical operations for the whole of Bergerac, accessible to public and private surgeons.

On July 6, the directors of the 2 Bergerac health establishments, Mathieu Labat (S. Pozzi) and Jean-Marc Coassin (Pasteur) and the Dr Joelle Fach and Vincent Desnoyers, respectively presidents of the Establishment Medical Commissions (CME) of the hospital center and the clinic, signed the joint medical project of the Health Cooperation Group (GCH), “Bergeracois Public-Private Surgical Center”. This is the result of a reflection launched in 2019.

Better patient care

“There is a common desire among practitioners to work together to attract new practitioners, to allow better care for patients so that they are operated on more quickly and do not have to leave the territory for this. » indicates the Dr Joelle Fach. “We know that there will always be some leakage of patients, but it must not be linked to a lack of proposal. » adds Dr. Vincent Desnoyers. The two establishment managers and the two presidents of CME are unanimous: “It is easier to recruit a fifth surgeon than a second”.
