Bergerac eliminates Metz on penalties, Angers released by an N3, Brest miraculously

Two League clubs on the mat this Sunday. Bergerac took out Metz (0-0, 5 tab to 4), Linas-Montlhery beat Angers in the game (2-0). Brest only dominated Dinan (N3) on penalties 13-12 after 16 shots!

And two to the mat. If Marseille, Saint-Etienne, Monaco, Lens, Montpellier have passed, Metz and Angers, Ligue 1 clubs, were eliminated this Sunday in the middle of the afternoon. It did not go far for Reims, winner on the edge of Reims Sainte-Anne (regional 1) 1-0. E

It was even closer for Brest, who only eliminated Dinan Lahon (N3) after an endless shootout session, 13-12 after 16 shots for each team and 0-0 at the end of regular time. Dinan was reduced to 10 from the 32nd minute.

Later in the day, Bordeaux martyred its modest opponent, Jumeaux M’Zouazia (10-0), Nice went to win at Cholet, only 1-0.

First jostled by fans of Cannet-Rocheville, Marseille qualified for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France on Sunday, just like Lens, Monaco and Saint-Etienne, while Metz was ousted by Bergerac (N2) .

Nine months after Canet-en-Roussillon (National 2), it was Cannet-Rocheville (N3) which gave Olympique de Marseille some cold sweats. But the current runner-up to Paris SG in Ligue 1 this time avoided elimination (4-1), thanks in particular to a hat-trick from Milik.

In a well-stocked Velodrome, the small club in the Alpes-Maritimes created a sensation by opening the brand with Coré (17th). Launched towards the surface, the striker placed a shot from the right which went between the legs of Mandanda, who started for this Cup match.

The exclusion of Lahouel, for a second yellow card after a foul on La Fuente, and the resulting penalty, allowed the Marseillais to equalize with Milik (41st). The Pole scored twice again in the second period (57th, 90th), and the Brazilian Luis Henrique scored his first goal with OM (77th). Three achievements also signed Guendouzi, decisive passer each time.

Other Ligue 1 clubs in the running ensured their qualification without a hitch. Finalist of the last edition against PSG, Monaco won at the Red Star (National) thanks to a double from Ben Yedder. The attacker opened the scoring with a small number in the area after a loss of the ball from Habib Beye’s team (32nd), then doubled the bet with a strike from the left (64th).

Lens defeated Stade Poitevin (N3). Ganago took advantage of a scramble from the opposing defense to score (36th). The Sang et Or evolved a large part of the match in power play after the exclusion of Neto (28th).

Last in Ligue 1, Saint-Etienne offered a breakthrough in the Cup with his 1-0 success at the neighbor of Lyon-La Duchère (National), for the first of the new coach Pascal Dupraz. In this derby, without Green supporters banned from traveling, it was Arnaud Nordin who scored the only goal of the match (32nd).

Metz, currently in the barrage position in Ligue 1, was however eliminated on penalties in Bergerac (0-0, 5-4 tab). Sarr missed his attempt during the session.

In the evening (9:10 p.m.), Paris SG, without Messi left at rest but with Mbappé and Ramos, moved to Valenciennes to face the Feignies-Aulnoye (N3) amateurs. The draw for the round of 16 will take place on Sunday evening from 8:20 p.m.
