78 places of worship in Hamburg invite you on 17 September, including two in the Vier-und Marschlande. What is planned.

Hamburg. “To seek and find” is the motto of the Night of the Churches, for which Saturday 17 September, in the evening hours, the doors of the various places of worship will open for the nineteenth time. This year 78 churches participate in the ecumenical cultural festival. In Vierland and Marschlanden you will find the Church of St. John in Curslack and the Church of the Trinity in Allermöhe.

There is a cultural festival in both Allermöhe and Curslack

It will be a musical evening at Allermöher Deich 97: at 19:00 a procession will begin around and into the church, which is considered to be the oldest surviving building in the marshes. At 7:30 pm an organ concert with Klaus Singer begins in the church. Then it continues at 8pm when Pastor Michael Ostendorf sings the same songs as him. Afterwards, at 20:30, the wind ensemble “Duuk Di” will play. Evening prayer begins at 9:30 pm with the choir. From 10:30 pm the evening ends on the old organ hall. Admission is free.

In the St. Johannis church in Curslacker Deich 142, from 6 pm, everything is about the whale in Curslack. A treasure hunt in the church takes you through the art eras of the last 400 years. There will be music, drinks and snacks.
