Sander Berge (22) had to interrupt the national team’s training in Belfast on Sunday afternoon and can probably not play against Northern Ireland.

– He was supposed to test today, but he did not complete 100 percent. I get to hear with the medical device. He is a big question mark for tomorrow. There is less than a 50 percent chance that he will play, if I am to judge, Lagerbäck says at a press conference on Sunday night.

Berge got a strong blow to the knee during the 1-2 loss to Austria on Friday. The Sheffield United professional completed the match, but it is now clear that he has problems. Lagerbäck was generally disappointed with the team’s performance in the Nations League premiere, and now he is announcing changes.

– Now that Sander is a big question mark, I do not think it will be the same team. It is relevant to make other changes as well, says Lagerbäck.

Even match

Against Austria, Erling Braut Haaland (20) scored the first A national team goal of his career. It happened on a pass from Alexander Sørloth (24) who had a good inning.

At the same time, Joshua King (28) is the top scorer for Norway under Lagerbäck with 10 online acquaintances in 30 matches. The Bournemouth striker also has the second best average on the VG stock exchange during the period.

When asked by VG, which press manager Svein Graff passed on, the Swede says that he has not made a decision on how he will compose the team on Monday night. He also does not want to say whether he has decided on the top spots.

– I do not want to comment on it, even though I had known it, says Lagerbäck.

However, he does not rule out that all three can start.

– Joshua’s qualities are much better to have centrally, but it’s about what qualities are available. We need a unit that works offensively and defensively, but it is entirely possible to use all three.

Hard-fought northerners

Opponent Northern Ireland will not be an easy task. Just like Norway, the team is qualified for a decisive European Championship playoff next month. While Lagerbäck’s men meet Serbia at Ullevaal, the Northern Irish will play the semi-final away against Bosnia.

Northern Ireland (36) is also ranked higher in the world rankings than Norway (44).

– What we have seen from videos, they are very energetic. We know a little about them from before. We met them three years ago. We expect a tough match. They are quite dueling strong. We must take the war first, says Mohamed Elyounoussi (26) at Sunday’s press conference in Belfast.

On Friday, the Nations League opened the green and whites with a strong away point against Romania, at the same time Norway lost to Austria. It was newcomer Ian Baracloughs (49)’s first game in charge of players such as Craig Cathcart (Watford), Steven Davies (Rangers) and coveted Jamal Lewis (Norwich).

Northern Ireland-ros

In the match in Bucharest, Northern Ireland ended up in a 3-4-3 formation under 1-0 after 25 minutes, before they were reduced to 10 men when Josh Magennis (Hull) got his second yellow card after only 39 minutes. Still, substitute Gavin Whyte (Cardiff) managed to salvage 1-1 shortly before the end, after what was described as a “world-class” performance by goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell (Burnley).

This led the BBC to describe the team’s first match under Baraclough as follows:

“The work ethic is preserved and the players look like they are willing to run through a wall for Baraclough. It is extremely promising and hopefully what is rust will be gone by the time of the Bosnia playoffs. “

Against Romania, Jonny Evans (32) was not included due to personal reasons, but the Leicester stopper is probably ready again against Norway. Kick-off at Windsor Park is Monday night at 20.45. The settlement is shown on TV 2.
