The first contemporary art exhibition Sofia Art Fair started with huge interest in “John Atanasov” Forum, Sofia Tech Park. Bulgarian and international galleries present 80 established and debuting authors, whose works in various styles are located on an area of more than 4,500 square meters. The slogan of the first edition is “Art is significant!”, an international jury selected the participants from Bulgaria, Europe and South-West Asia. “We are opening a new page”, Suni Danaj and Radoslav Mehandzhiyski, organizers of the Sofia Art Fair, were emphatic at the opening. “My hope is that Sofia will be an increasingly important part in the development of contemporary art and a place where more and more artists can exhibit their works,” said Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev, patron of the prestigious event.

The international curator Stefan Stoyanov, who presents four world authors and three Bulgarians at the Sofia Art Fair, welcomed Vasil Terziev, Yordanka Fandakova, Dimitar Berbatov, Orlin Pavlov, who sang at the premiere, Grafa and his wife, top stylist Mitko Damov… They and many other connoisseurs – from art, business, sports, politics, admired the works of Gabriela von Habsburg, Sheikh Rashid Al Khalifa from Bahrain, Brian Daly, Aidan Salahova, Miryana Todorova, Veronika Mihaleva, Kalin Serapionov. Dimitar Berbatov and Yordanka Fandakova met the outstanding sculptor Gabriela von Habsburg – an artist and personality with an extremely high international rating and granddaughter of the last emperor of Austria-Hungary, Franz Joseph.

Patrons, collectors and philanthropists from Bulgaria, Europe and America came to see the authors presented by Stefan Stoyanov at the Sofia Art Fair. Among them were the president of the international fair of contemporary art in the Austrian capital Vienna contemporary Dmitry Aksyonov, collectors Stella and Boyan Naydenov, Anna Naydenova, Lisa Anastos.
