Beomhan began receiving backlash following his comments following the U.S. presidential election results. While he intended to cope with a bad situation with humor, viewers did not receive it well, as many felt the jokes were insensitive, ill-timed, and not his place as a man.

Everyone who is a woman, this week, rest in peace, and I’d like to say, ‘Rest in peace’ to all women, and we have failed you this week and as a country. And, Donald Trump, congratulations on being the president. However, I would like to say that Beyoncé had the best music video of all time, and thank you, Beyoncé. …And if you’re a woman, just know that we stand with you, and I am so sorry and rest in peace and good luck. I’m so sorry. And please take a mental health day and go shopping or something.

Beomhan soon apologized after taking heat for the now-viral clip. Yet, as netizens continued criticizing him and resurfacing past controversies and false allegations, Beomhan got defensive and lashed out on social media with both X (formerly Twitter) rants and Instagram live broadcasts.

Clips from his two Instagram lives have gone viral, as Beomhan cursed out those who continued to leave him hate comments.

While some fans have defended Beomhan, others were turned off by his behavior. Still, Beomhan has apologized multiple times.

Nevertheless, it appears Beomhan will be taking an indefinite hiatus. In his latest statement, he promised to be “back soon” and stated he would be seeking therapy.

Additionally, Beomhan’s upcoming event has been canceled. Previously, Beomhan was scheduled for his first-ever event in Tennessee on November 16th and 17th, as he would take over PLOGHVEY K-POP in Knoxville.

Just a couple of days before the event, PLOGHVEY Group announced that it had been canceled. Those who purchased tickets will be refunded.

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION

First, we would like to thank all the fans who have been eagerly awaiting BEOMHAN’s first appearance in Tennessee.

Ticket holders for the event will be refunded. Please await further details from KorUS Entertainment, or feel free to contact via email at [email protected].

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are deeply grateful for the fans’ understanding and ongoing support. We hope to meet again in the future under better circumstances.

Thank you.
