– A candidate for Justice Minister Park Beom-gye has been accused once again in connection with the alleged assault of a test student. Earlier, civic groups accused him of defamation due to false facts when candidate Park denied that’there was no assault of test students’.

On the 26th, a group of test students for the preservation of the bar exam announced that they would accuse Candidate Park and his attendant secretary of special assault.

On November 23, 2016, the Goshi-saeng group claimed that candidate Park assaulted him by grabbing a leg and shaking, saying, “Who is behind it?” when members knelt asking for the passing of the bar exam preservation bill. As soon as they see a high school student at night, they assault them while holding a swearword and shaking, while the attendant secretary attempts to take a picture of the high school student’s face next to each other, so they claim that it is a special assault.

The test students said, “Even five years ago or now when the assault occurred, candidate Park’s sincere apology and reflection was a position that he would forgive and not take any further problems.” “Candidate Park did not apologize for the fact of the testimony at the personnel hearing. I accuse him to appeal to his innocence.”

Candidate Park said at the hearing the previous day that five to six test students, who were larger than him, appeared in front of the officetel without prior notice. Also, in the middle of the night, the spouse came to the apartment alone, appeared on his son’s back road, refuting that he was rather threatened.

In response, the Gosi-saengs’ meeting said, “I appealed to Candidate Park for a month, but I couldn’t make a phone call, so I visited my house around 6:00 PM and delivered a letter to me.” It was all that came down after opening the letter.” “It is clear that Candidate Park assaulted and abusived the high school student,” he said. “Candidate Park, who abuses the weak and weak, strongly urges the candidate to voluntarily resign.”

The day before, the National Assembly Legislative Judiciary Committee held a marathon hearing for more than 13 hours, but could not reach the adoption of a hearing report by Park. President Moon Jae-in is expected to request the National Assembly to resend the hearing report on candidate Park. If the National Assembly fails to send the report within the time limit, the President decides a period of 10 days or less, requests for resend, and proceeds with the appointment procedure. It is possible that the Democratic Party will adopt the hearing report alone. In this case, Candidate Park becomes the 27th ministerial-level person appointed by the Moon Jae-in government without the opposition party’s consent.
