Until now, the Flying Spur was considered the king of performance at Bentley, and the carmaker offered it with both a V8 engine and a huge twelve-cylinder engine. This is still the case, but environmentally friendly customers can now take advantage of the PHEV range, a partially electrified version of the sedan.

The 2.9-liter V6 engine in conjunction with an electric motor and batteries with a capacity of 14 kWh now appears in the Flying Spur offer, which gives the car a power of 544 horsepower and a torque of 750 Nm.

Purely on Bentley, it will cover about 40 kilometers and the maximum total range is set at about 700 kilometers. The car then accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds and travels a maximum of 285 km / h. The engine under the hood is complemented by an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, which distributes power to all four wheels.

Thanks to the advent of electrification, the PHEV version of the sedan is even more intelligent. The new systems offer remote access to the car via a smartphone, where you can check its status or battery charge level. It is then possible to control the air conditioning via telephone.

Bentley then reserved seven special color combinations for the car, with the same equipment conditions as for the versions with V8 and V12 engines. The price is not published yet.
