Persita Tangerang grieved over his death Benny Dollo. Laskar Cisadane once achieved the highest achievement in the league with the former coach of the Indonesian National Team.
Benny Dollo breathed his last on Wednesday (1/2/2023) evening WIB. The man from Manado, North Sulawesi, died at the age of 72.
The coach, who is often called Bendol, was undergoing treatment at the South Tangerang Hospital in July 2022. At that time he was being treated for various illnesses.
Benny Dollo not a foreign name for Indonesian football fans. Bendol has started his career as a coach in Indonesia since 1983.
Bendol never brought Pelita Jaya became the champion of Galatama three times in 1988/1989, 1990 and 1993/1994. Success was also achieved when he gush Arema by winning the 2005 Indonesian League title and twice the Copa Indonesia.
Persita Tangerang also never felt the cold hands of Benny Dollo. Laskar Cisadane was trained by Bendol in three periods, with the highest achievement bringing Persita to become runners-up in the 2002 Indonesian League.
That is Persita’s best achievement in the league until now. Persita also expressed her condolences and gratitude for the achievements Bendol had given her.
“The entire Persita Tangerang extended family feels deep sorrow over the passing of Benny Dollo, former Head Coach of the Indonesian National Team and former Head Coach of Persita (1995-1998/ 2001-2003/ 2007-2008),” Persita’s statement read on social media.
“Hopefully their good deeds will be accepted by Allah SWT and the family left behind will be given strength and fortitude. Thank you for your dedication and struggle, Coach… Have a good rest.”
