Argentinian international opener Benjamin Urdapilleta played his last match with Castres Olympique.
The latter will join Clermont next summer.
Asked via The Dispatch after the victory won against Perpignan (26-16), the Tarnais opener admits to having been very moved at the approach of this meeting. Extract:
“I thought it would be easier. The night before, I couldn’t sleep. And during the day, it was hard. In addition, as we were playing late, it was quite long. Whenever we talked about something I felt like crying. I said to myself that I had to concentrate because I wanted to play a big match. During the game, I was able to extract myself from all these emotions.

I arrived in the unknown, not really knowing Castres. However, from the beginning, I felt that it was a club for me, which also suited my family. We went through great times with a league title, play-offs, important matches, or more delicate periods like this season. But I am happy to be part of this CO family.
I was lucky that my last meeting was played at Pierre-Fabre, that there was no pressure regarding the result. I was able to enjoy this der with my friends, the club, and with these colors on my back. Because I intend to come back with other colors.”
