Benjamin Ingrosso – Kite – Pop music

Finally is Benjamin Ingrosso back to grace our ears with their expertly crafted pop. With the single Kite marks the start of a whole new era that will lead up to the artist’s upcoming album and an extensive summer tour titled Better Days Tour.

The new release is the first solo single from Ingrosso in almost two years, but he hasn’t exactly been inactive musically during this time. Two live albums and several stylish interpretations in the program Benjamin’s has made the artist feel constantly present, even though their own releases shine with their absence. However, the long wait has not been in vain for Benjamin Ingrosso’s triumphant return to the music scene, Kite is in my eyes a representation of everything the artist stands for – genius melodies, playful productions and skillful lyric writing. The whole thing breathes retro and the oversized drums make the song stand out from today’s smooth pop jungle. The singer’s characteristic falsetto is deliciously parried against dark choruses and layers of voices. The hooks are endless and I realize half way into the listening that I lost myself in the catchy rhythm.

This is what the artist himself says about the song:

Kite to me is about the first time you meet someone new and the feeling you get that anything is possible, the euphoria and freedom you feel when you meet someone who makes you feel like you’re soaring above everyone else. But it can also be about anything that makes you feel alive. It can be about life being a party and daring to test your wings, about being young and having fun, but also about falling in love and losing love. I’ve probably never been more excited about my music than I am about this song and all the new music you’ll get from me this year.”

Kite is written by Benjamin together with Anya, Jon Shave, Salem Al-Fakir and Vincent Pontare.
