With very successful album releases, in addition to several TV appearances that have been praised in the clouds by people and fairies, one can therefore safely say that the 23-year-old is well on his way to becoming “all” Sweden’s favorite.
In Norway, we have seen him perform on “Allsang på grensen” and in the family reality series “Wahlgren’s world”.
This weekend he followed in the footsteps of big sister Bianca Ingrosso (26), and had his very own summer talk in the popular radio program «Summer in P1». The influencer’s summer talk from 2018 reached one million plays in the first week, which made the episode the most played Swedish Radio program ever.
Thus, expectations were high then The 23-year-old’s episode was released on Midsummer Day itself, Saturday – and neither fans nor family seem to be disappointed.
In the program, he opens up more about the troubled upbringing than ever before. Especially the difficult relationship with his father Emilio has been given a lot of space.

Dirty divorce
In 1985, Pernilla Wahlgren (53) and Emilio Ingrosso (55) met during the Melodifestivalen, and quickly became one of Sweden’s hottest couples.
The love story between the two was on “everyone’s” lips, and in many ways reached its peak when the two married in 1993, four years after their first son, Oliver (31), was born. Five years later they got daughter Bianca, and and 1997 pcs Benjamin to the world.
In 2002, after 17 years as a couple, nine years as a married couple, happiness broke and it was the nail in the coffin for the star couple Pernilla and Emilio. There were long rumors about both, and it was to turn out to be both a public and dirty process.
In this process, little Benjamin grew up, something he now tells about in his summer talk. Growing up must have been characterized by insecurity, noise, violent quarrels and late nights with a lot of tears.

– Palpitations every night
In 2006 it all peaked, when the duo ended up in court and Emilio was convicted of inciting the ex, according to Aftonbladet. Ingrosso was sentenced to pay 7,000 kroner and was also convicted of ill-treatment against Wahlgren. Today they should have a far better and more civilized relationship.
– I get palpitations every night, because that is when the quarrel begins, and the quarrel can be about anything, he recalls in the program.
The 23-year-old says that it burns around him even before he is born. The night he is born, his father is out on the town, without anyone really knowing what he is doing or exactly where he is.
– In my home there was chaos before I once had fingers and toes. My parents were unsure if they should keep me. But when my mother asked my grandfather for advice, he was clear: “You should keep this kid, there is something special about it.”
–
– She was my responsibility
The parents’ poor conditions meant that the 23-year-old had difficulty finding his role in growing up. He says that it was difficult to know whether he should be a “Wahlgren” or an “Ingrosso”.
– Dad was not there when I was little, and I tried to search for someone who could be. Mom was there, but she had to be both parents, but she was usually just a child too. She was my responsibility, he says honestly.
Shortly after the episode was released, the rest of the Wahlgren / Ingrosso family flocked to social media to pay tribute to the young artist’s honest words.

Hailed by the family
Emilio Ingrosso was among the family members who were quick to write an emotional post about their son’s summer talk.
‘I’m so desperately sorry you had to experience our divorce. You certainly should not have had to do that. But unfortunately you can not control everything in life “, he writes.
Furthermore, he describes his love for his son, despite the fact that he has been away a lot.
Mom Pernilla Wahlgren is also full of praise for the 23-year-old, but apologizes for some of the behavior in her upbringing.
«(…) The tears flowed now when I understood that everything has been for better or worse. That you also took on that role (as a joy spreader journ.anm.) Because you wanted everyone else around you to feel good. An important summer talk to listen to for everyone, but above all for all divorced parents ».
To Expressen tells Ingrosso that he has been nervous about people listening to the episode. The Swedish newspaper talks to him shortly after the summer talk was published, and after the 23-year-old has heard it with several family members.
– It feels a bit heavy, of course, but it also feels nice. Some things that you have not dared to say to people, I got to say in the summer chat.
