Journalist Fabrizio Romano guarantees, this Wednesday, that Benfica will try to return Ángel Di María, 13 years after he was sold to Real Madrid, in exchange for around 35 million euros. In the light, El Video he played 121 games (15 goals and 28 assists) and won three titles, one championship and two League Cups.
The Argentinian international, now 35 years old, played for the Reds between 2007 and 2010, having since then played for Real, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and, finally, Juventus, where he was this last season after ending his contract with French team.
World Champion with Argentina in Qatar, Di María ends his contract with Vecchia Signora on the 30th of June, returning, a year later, to being associated with Benfica’s interest. This season, the winger made 39 appearances for the Turin team, in which he scored eight goals and provided seven assists.
According to Fabrizio Romano, wealthy clubs in Saudi Arabia are also keeping an eye on Di María.
