THE Benfica will face Ajax in the round of 16 of the Champions League. The draw for this stage of the competition took place this Monday, December 13, at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
For not having been head of the series in the draw, the Benfica play the first match of the tie at home. The first leg matches will be played on the days 15/16/22 or February 23, 2022 and the ones from second hand a 8/9/15 or March 16th.
It should be noted that the draw of the last 16 of the Champions League took place initially at 11:00 am on Monday, December 13, determining Real Madrid as Benfica’s opponents, but a technical error led UEFA to repeat the procedure at 14:00.
