Benfica awaits response from FIFA because of Musa

Benfica is waiting for a response from FIFA to be able to register Petar Musa.

The club made an exhibition to the body that oversees world football in order to register the Croatian striker, hired from Boavista this summer.

Prevented from registering players due to debt, a situation that the investor Gerard Lopez believes will be resolved, the chess players were unable to register Petar Musa after activating the option to buy the striker from Slavia Praga. This lack of registration means that Boavista is also unable to transfer Petar Musa’s international certificate to Benfica.

Benfica is therefore waiting for FIFA to unblock the situation in order to register the player in time to participate in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, whose draw is this Monday.
