A study has shown that daily consumption of 15 grams of acacia gum in liquid form can help regulate blood plasma cholesterol concentrations.

5. Reduce body fat

Gum acacia has the potential to keep your weight in a healthy range while reducing overall body fat.

In a study of 120 women, 60 women took 30 grams of gum acacia daily for six weeks, while the other 60 took a placebo containing only 1 gram of pectin.

The results showed that women who consumed acacia gum experienced a decrease in body mass index. Their body fat percentage also reduced by more than 2%.
