During Lent, we focus on virtues like moderation and frugality. But when it comes to the continuation of their donation project from Ash Wednesday, the Kursana residents are anything but frugal. Every year the residents choose their heart project, for which they collect donations throughout the year. In the previous year they were able to help the children’s hospice network with an amount of € 1,000. This year the collection for the children’s hospice will be continued and the goal is to exceed this amount. After all, the charity, which, like the residence, is located in Vienna Meidling, is financed exclusively through donations. Your care offer is needed even more urgently in times of crisis. Therefore a piggy bank was set up in the restaurant of the residence under the motto “I donate (m) a cup of coffee”, which looks forward to many tinkling coins from the residents for the benefit of the children’s hospice during Lent.
Relief in difficult times. The children’s hospice network takes care of seriously ill and life-limiting sick children and their families. In times of the pandemic, the non-profit association also does pioneering work: The opening of Vienna’s first weekend hospice for children is another important offer to relieve the parents. Every donation helps to give the children regular time in a pleasant atmosphere and with professional care.
