“We are pleased to welcome Benedetto Vinha as Ferrari’s new CEO,” said Ferrari President John Elkan, who also served as CEO.
“He has a vast knowledge of the technologies driving change in our industry. His qualities as an innovator, businessman and leader have been proven and will further strengthen Ferrari.
Vinya is 52 years old. He graduated in physics from the University of Pisa. He said it was a special honor to join Ferrari.
“I do it with a sense of excitement and responsibility. Excitement from the huge opportunities and deep responsibility for the incredible achievements and abilities of the people in Ferrari, the company’s shareholders and everyone in the world for whom Ferrari is a passion, “added Vinya.
Meanwhile, the head of the Scuderia in Formula 1 Matthias Binoto reiterated that the team will not have the speed it demonstrates in the upcoming races in Monaco and to some extent in Azerbaijan.
“I think two teams in front of us are even stronger. It was great to win the half positions in Monaco and Baku, but I don’t think that reflects our real overall pace. I think we are making progress because we are inevitably learning more about our car and using it better than at the beginning of the season. There will be some more development in the future. “
“We have problems with soft tires. We are more competitive with others. We certainly need to make progress in our competitive pace, “added Binoto.
