Bending Spoons buys StreamYard, another acquisition for the Milanese software house

Bending Spoons announced today that it has successfully completed the acquisition of StreamYard, a leading live-streaming company. This acquisition also includes the StreamYard, Streamable and Superwave products, which have won millions of users worldwide.

With a user base exceeding millions and more than 60 million live-streamed and recorded videos to date, StreamYard has distinguished itself as one of the industry leaders. Luca Ferrari, CEO and co-founder of Bending Spoons, expressed confidence in the future of these platforms, declaring: “We appreciate everything that the StreamYard team has built and we are ready to put our skills and technologies at the service of these products towards new goals”.

Badri Rajasekar, CEO of Hopin, also expressed optimism about the transition, highlighting his team’s work in building global brands, technologies and communities. “We thank our team and our customers and look forward to seeing the further growth of our business and products with the support of Bending Spoons,” said Rajasekar.

As part of the transaction, Bending Spoons was legally assisted by Willkie Farr & Gallagher and by KPMG for financial and tax due diligence. StreamYard Top Corp, on the other hand, had the legal support of Goodwin Procter, while LionTree acted as financial advisor.

The acquisition of StreamYard Top Corp represents an important step forward for Bending Spoons in consolidating its position in the live-streaming industry and promises new opportunities for growth and innovation for both companies involved. Bending Spoons has been carrying out a series of acquisition operations of foreign companies in recent months. The latest ones include Evernote, Vimeo, and Meetup.
