Bencic, Vögele and Hingis win the Pro Cup

The three players won a competition in the colors of the Fed Cup, between Swiss women.

The Pro Cup, which takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Swiss Tennis Arena in Biel, was won on Saturday in the girls’ category by Team Rouge, coached by Séverin Lüthi.

In a sort of Fed Cup for Swiss players, the Davis Cup team captain’s lineup consisted of Belinda Bencic (WTA 8), Stefanie Vögele (WTA 109) and Martina Hingis (Ex-WTA 1).

Opposite, the White Team of Fed Cup captain Heinz Günthardt was led by Jil Teichmann (WTA 63), with Viktorija Golubic (WTA 123) and Patty Schnyder (ex-WTA 8).

No loss

Team Rouge did not lose any match and the double did not have to be played. Bencic beat Teichmann 4-1 4-1, Vögele won 4-2 4-1 against Golubic and Hingis defeated Schnyder 4-3 (5/3) 4-1.

On Sunday, the men will play the same competition with a Team Red coached by Günthardt, with Henri Laaksonen (ATP 137), Johan Nikles (ATP 500), Jakub Paul (ATP 664) and a qualifier, Dominic Stricker (17 years), which will be opposed to Team Blanc de Lüthi, composed of Marc Andrea Hüsler (ATP 298), Sandro Ehrat (ATP 393), Antoine Bellier (ATP 544) and Leandro Riedi (18 years). The first match will take place 13 hours.
