Jakarta, Selular.ID – Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is heading for release on November 30th. There is also more news from its competitors, revealing that Mediatek Dimensity 9000 is cheaper than Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon.
Mediatek announced the Dimensity 9000 processor last week, and is positioned as the first premium flagship processor from the Taiwanese company. The new chipset is expected to compete with Qualcomm’s 2022 flagship silicon.
Thanks to the success of the Mediatek 1200 which has a powerful but still cheap chipset, then there is news from the leaker, namely DCS, stated that the Dimensity 9000 will have a price double the price of the Dimensity 1200, obviously because Mediatek’s flagship 5G connectivity chipset device
To provide a price calculation that is twice the price of the Dimensity 1200, the 1200 series chipset from Mediatek is the brain of the smartphone that has been released in Indonesia, namely the Poco X3 GT. For the Poco X3 GT, it has a price of 4 million, so for the Dimensity 9000 Smartphone, it will be the kitchen runway for a smartphone of approximately 7-8 million.
After knowing the price of a smartphone powered by Dimensity 9000, then for a smartphone that will be supported by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is the Realme GT Neo 2 Pro, which will be released next year with the advantage of fast charging 125W.
Then the estimated price of the Realme GT NEO 2 Pro with Snapdragon Gen 1 is around 9 million, it is clear that products powered by Snapdragon Gen 1 are more expensive than Dimensity 9000.
For the Leaked Antutu Score between Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon Gen 1 both scored 1, but for the Snapdragon 8 gen 1, and this has not received confirmation regarding the 1 million score from Qualcomm.
This also shows that many will switch to products owned by Mediatek, because the chipset is still powerful and already has cheap 5G connectivity, making smartphone vendors produce cheap smartphones.
