A test on a device with an unofficial build of Windows 11 showed significant results in the performance sector.
So far, leaks about Windows The upcoming 11 only includes changes to the appearance of the Start Menu, Taskbar, as well as some minor changes to the theme and multitasking features of the platform. Ahead of launch, the latest leaks show the performance results of Windows 11 showing a substantial increase in performance for every calculated CPU clock cycle.
YouTuber Ben Anonymous conducted a series of benchmark tests on laptop with an Intel Core i7-10875H CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics. Tests yielded a boot time of 13 seconds, 3 seconds faster than Windows 10. It also showed impressive performance jumps in 3DMark and Geekbench tests. However, not all test results are conclusive, and are not replicated by other tests.
In addition, Hot Hardware also performs battery testing. This time the test was carried out on the Samsung Galaxy Book S which did not promise good performance on Android Windows 10. As a result, the performance advantage of Windows 11 is not too big, but it is still significant enough to be noticed.
The site says Microsoft is optimizing Windows 11 to take better advantage of Intel’s implementation of the big.LITTLE architecture used in the Core i5-L16G7 laptop.
Overall, the latest release of Windows 11 can offer small but significant improvements across devices for all types of computing applications. This may not be a huge increase in performance, but it’s enough to satisfy Windows users who need better work performance, without breaking their workflow.
Please note, this test was performed on an unofficial pre-release build, so test results may also not represent the final build and performance of Windows 11.
