Bence Tuzson was sworn in as minister – Dunakanyar Region

From the first of August, Bence Tuzson, a member of Parliament from Dunakeszi and our region, who was asked by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to perform this task, will continue his work as Minister of Justice. As he said in an interview with the city magazine Dunakeszi Polgár, he considers the review of judicial practice to be one of his most important tasks in his new assignment, because according to him, the administration of justice must always take people’s perspectives into account.

– He took his ministerial oath a few hours ago, for which I congratulate him! What changes does the appointment of head of the Ministry of Justice mean in your work?

“First of all, it’s a huge honor!” I was given the extremely honorable task by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to support the work of the Hungarian government as Minister of Justice from August 1st. I will do my best to serve the security and everyday life of the Hungarian people in my new mandate as a member of the government. I asked Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to create a clean, traditional Ministry of Justice under my leadership, and to move European Union affairs elsewhere within the government structure. And he accepted this proposal of mine. On the one hand, the ministry’s focus will be on the protection of Hungary’s legal sovereignty, because I see that our sovereignty has been under attack several times in the recent period. It is particularly important that within the European Union the areas under national competence remain, and that we do not think in terms of a European empire, but continue to speak of a unified union of nation states with equal rights. At the head of the Ministry of Justice, I consider the review of judicial practice to be my other important task, because the administration of justice must always consider people’s perspectives as the most important. It is important that, in addition to preserving the independence of the courts, the fast and efficient administration of justice continues to develop, so that a clear jurisprudence develops for the people. As a minister, I will initiate a discussion with the representatives of the court system about this, and accordingly, if necessary, it is possible to intervene with legislative means.
