Mirolyuba Benatova responded to Kostadin Kostadinov after his last threatening post, threatening with “two cars and a rope” people he considers to be “national traitors”.
Here is what Benatova writes:
“I just finished a phone call, from which I learned some more features of the Bulgarian” judicial “system.
I heard about the victims’ attempts to find justice in civil proceedings. I have heard about the disappointment (in my opinion, quite justified) of the final decision of the second instance. I heard about the reluctance to continue the battle at the Supreme Court level.
I didn’t have much to say, except for what I believe in, and that is that the battle must be fought to the end, by all legal means. Although it looks silly and a waste of time. And despite the insult and pain that the institutions amplify, not suppress.
After the end of this conversation, I saw the photo of Kostadinov, who directly called for a public lynching of the “national traitors”. How easy it looks. And how many people would hit a thumb just because they imagine their personal enemies hanging in the trees.
We all sometimes want the Forester to come and punish those who have punished us.
But this is not the case.
It shouldn’t be.
Self-mutilation leads to even greater arbitrariness.
And yet, most importantly. Who’s going to say who the traitors are, huh? “
