British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, who recently announced he wants to leave his post, has officially resigned. This was announced today by Downing Street, France Press reported.
53-year-old Ben Wallace had announced in the summer his intention to retire from political life. He was in the government for nine years, four of which were in the field of defense, BTA reported.
“I was elected as a member of parliament in 2005. and after so many years it is time to invest in the aspects of life that have been neglected and explore new opportunities,” he wrote in his resignation letter released by the office of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who is expected to quickly announce the name of his successor.
