Ben Simmons’ return may be just around the corner. For days now, the information has pointed to a noticeable improvement in his back problems and such a situation could end up with his debut in the fourth game of the tie against Boston.
That is exactly the information handled by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The aforementioned journalist assures that given his progress in training, it is a realistic goal that he can be seen on the floor in Game 4. Looking ahead to the previous match, on 3, he points out that he still has to take a few steps forward little time margin makes it unlikely that he can have minutes.
Whether it’s sooner or later, Steve Nash doesn’t intend to press ahead of his player’s return. The head coach he is aware that Simmons has not played a game since May 2021 and that only he can say that he feels comfortable to return to the courts.
«There is no other way to face this than to wait for him to say: ‘I’m ready’; especially after such a long absence. So when he’s ready, he’s going to have to be the one to say, ‘I feel comfortable. I feel ready to play. I want to play and I want to contribute’. We can’t push him into a situation where he hasn’t seen each other for so long. It has to be him who definitely feels comfortable and ready to play », he sentences.
