Artist and founder of the band Radish, Ben Kweller’s (41) son has passed away. He shared that himself on Instagram on Tuesday.
The son, Dorian Zev Kweller, was only 16 years old.
New details about the star’s death
“There is no way I can write this, but I do… Our son, Dorian Zev Keller, was killed last night. He was only 16 years old and he was a true legend,” writes the 41-year-old under the post.
According to the mother, the son died as a result of a car accident. She must have confirmed this in her own social media channels, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Furthermore, Kweller describes her son as “a kind and gentle soul” and someone who was a friend to everyone.
Like his father, Dorian was a singer, who wrote and recorded his own music. According to the post, the 16-year-old was to hold his first concert in two weeks, during the “South By Southwest” festival in Austin, Texas.

“We’ll never get over him as long as we’re here on earth. Please keep his spirit alive with memories and his music,” he continues, adding:
“My boy was on the starting line with so much life ahead of him … I have no idea why things like this happen. We are in complete shock and do not know what the future will bring. Lizzy, Judah and I have no idea how we will cope with this disaster”.

The 41-year-old and his wife Liz Smith Kweller became parents to Dorian in 2006. They also have a son Judah together.
Kweller has released six solo albums and collaborated with several artists, including Ed Sheeran (32) and Selena Gomez (30). He made his acting debut in the 2014 film Rudderless.
