Bem Abidjan and HEC Montreal Partner to Promote Excellence in Higher Education

To promote excellence in higher education, the Bem Abidjan establishment has decided to find a major partner, namely Hec Montreal, whose partnership was officially launched on Saturday May 13, 2023, at Angré 8e slice, in the presence of the Ambassador of Canada in Côte d’Ivoire, Sem. Anderson White.

The Baccalaureate in Business Administration (Baa) is obtained after four years of higher education (Bac +4), namely the first two university years in Abidjan and the other two in Montreal.

The Ambassador of Canada in Côte d’Ivoire, Sem. Anderson Blanc, welcomed the outcome of this partnership which will only be beneficial for all parties. “Excellence calls for excellence”, he said, calling on Ivorians to join this program which will allow them to be certainly in the Ivorian elite of tomorrow.

For him, it will be a win-win partnership. Because, it will be an opportunity to exhibit Ivorian culture internationally. “Canada is all about the diversity of languages and experiences, and we can see that here. Côte d’Ivoire is about reconciliation, living together, common well-being and that’s what unites us,” said Anderson Blanc.

“I am convinced that bringing these two renowned academic institutions together will be beneficial for both countries, but also for the pursuit of excellence for students,” said the Canadian diplomat.

As for Fara Sakho, general manager of Bem Abidjan, he indicated that his establishment aims to train and support students and professionals in initial training and continuing education, but above all to train operational managers.

According to him, international mobility is at the heart of his institution’s strategy. This is what, he says, motivated this partnership which will make it possible to recruit excellent students through competitive examinations. The objective for Mr. Sakho is to train future managers for the economy and the development of Côte d’Ivoire.

But first, Roger Menard, Director General of the Quebec Office in Abidjan, welcomed this partnership because, he said, education is one of the pillars in Canada.
