Andthe musical project for children by Belly and Beto surfaced twenty years ago on Monterrey television, however, after the program aired Belinda Trevino decided to risk continuing with episodes on a YouTube channel, success was internationalization.
Success for Bely and Beto came three years after they started posting videos on the Internet, becoming a recognized musical phenomenon in Mexico and the United States, thus leaving behind the days of focusing only on Nuevo León audiences.
“We left television because we no longer had sponsor support and experimented on YouTube without even imagining what our foray would bring us. In principle we do not value the magnitude of what our work represents in children. It’s time we do live concerts and shows, that’s where we see what we mean by children who know our songs, dress like us, know the names of all the characters,” comments Belinda Treviño in an interview with Newsweek in Spanish.
Among the difficulties that arose at one point for Bely and Beto was the language. At the beginning they used a more regionalized language of the north of the country, currently they have made a change of words.
In turn, they try to ensure that the language does not have a different meaning in other countries and can be misinterpreted. “We also take care of the actions, the content because children are very visual and pay close attention to what they hear, so we have to take great care of our expressions,” adds Belinda.
INTERNET HAS OPENED THE DOORS TO BELY AND BETO
The entertainer assures that her responsibility towards the children is great because “they are the noblest audience”.
“They allowed us to get from the province directly to the capital of the country in a National Auditorium. For us it is very important and very significant because it means that our work is paying off. We are the only children’s show presented in palenques, now children will be able to see us in a space that should be adults only,” comments Belinda.
For Bely and Beto, the internet has opened the door to enormous success, but they are also aware that this can become a habit and make children escape their responsibilities. This is why they recommend parents to always monitor what children consume on social media so as not to allow them to fall into content that is not suitable for their age.
The Bely and Beto show will be presented on November 27 at the National Auditorium at 12:00 and 17:00. Tickets can be purchased at the venue ticket office and from Ticketmaster. No
