Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham will be out for around a month after being injured during training on Thursday at the Valdebebas training ground, with medical tests confirming that he has an “injury to the plantar thin muscle of his right leg.”
“Following tests carried out today on our player Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantar thin muscle of his right leg. Pending evolution,” reads the report released by Real Madrid.
Bellingham suffered a knock during the ball drills phase of Real Madrid’s Friday session and had to leave training in pain to undergo medical tests.
“He has had a knock and they are assessing him,” Ancelotti admitted in his appearance before the media, later than usual after the incident in training.
According to sources from Real Madrid, Bellingham received a heavy blow to his right foot and is expected to be out for approximately one month. He will therefore miss England’s Nations League matches in the September window and will miss his club’s LaLiga matches against Real Valladolid, Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Espanyol.
