Bellewaerde amusement park in Ypres is ready: “Staff wear an extension to safely help visitors to the attractions”

The amusement park has already suffered a loss of 10 million euros due to the corona crisis. At Bellewaerde, they were therefore very much looking forward to the reopening. “We are doing everything we can to keep the virus out of the park,” says general manager Stefaan Lemey. Today and tomorrow they only allow 1,000 visitors a day in Bellewaerde. That number will gradually increase to 5,000 visitors.

The staff at the attractions will also touch the visitors as little as possible. For this, the staff wear some kind of extension to the uniform. It is actually an arm stool with a hook on it. In this way they can help visitors to the attrations safely and remotely.
