She now reveals that the evening did not go exactly as planned, and at the same time clarifies an earlier statement about the outfit on the red carpet.
– It turned black
There is little doubt that the gala has a high standard when it comes to choosing outfits. The annual Met gala chooses a new theme for each year, which guests are then expected to dress for.
–
This year the theme was “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”, which served as part two of last year’s “A Lexicon of Fashion”. This year’s theme shouldhave celebrated the “inclusion” of American fashion, according to Vogue.
Hadid chose to dress in an all-black dress with a black corset, and the outfit has subsequently received much praise from both fashion experts and the model’s own followers.
Earlier this month, she explained to Interview that the outfit had been partly to blame for physical strain on her.
– It turned black for me, literally. I do not know if it was my anxiety, or maybe it was my waist that was tightened so that I could not breathe, she told the magazine.
Excited and anxious
Now the 25-year-old changes his statement that it was the dress that was to blame for the breathing difficulties. It writes AND! News.

– I want to make this very clear. That was not what I meant to say at all, she shares on Instagram along with some screenshots of the news story with the original comment.
– I did not say that it turned black because of my corset, but from how excited and anxious I was – and tend to be – on the red carpet. I really meant that it passes in one second. So fast that I hardly remember it, she continues.
However, the model makes no secret of the fact that most of the dresses she wears on the red carpet are uncomfortable, especially when it comes to a tight corset. However, she assures fans that the corsets fit properly.
– Corsets are generally quite uncomfortable and challenging for the lungs, but my corsets fit perfectly with enough room to eat and drink, she concludes.
