Bella Hadid is an independent film distribution, production and financing company dedicated to the benefit of the Palestinian people.

Deadline, a website concerned with Hollywood news, reported on Saturday that Alana announced that she will head a new film production and distribution company.

The website emphasized that the company aims to provide a safe haven for “excluded voices seeking creative resistance” and educate the masses to resist injustice.

The first project for Watermelon Pictures, which Alana describes as “an independent Palestinian institution for distributing, producing and financing films,” will be a documentary called “Walled Off.”

According to the statement, the documentary will tell the story of the “Walled Off” hotel located in the city of Bethlehem, in the West Bank, overlooking the “Separation Wall.”

The documentary was written and directed by American director of Palestinian and Italian origin, Vin Arvoso, who planned to shed light on the lives of Palestinians living in the region, and was co-produced by Anwar Hadid, the brother of the three sisters.
