The most important aspect of this dock is that it can both charge the MacBook and be powered by the MacBook itself.

Such MacBook docks often have in common that they need their own power supply, because there are so many different and powerful connections. This compact Belkin dock does not need that, making it especially suitable if you have to work in many different places. It is powered by the laptop to operate other attached accessories. Thanks to dual-power you can also use it with a power cable via USB-C. The dock has a size of 10 x 10 x 3 centimeters and supports a data transfer of 40Gbps, 60W charging and dual 4K 60Hz monitor setup. You can also connect one 8K display.
The dock has one fixed relatively short 20 centimeter Thunderbolt 3 cable to connect it to your MacBook. You will also find a USB-C port with Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, Ethernet port of 1Gb, audio in / out for microphone and speaker, USB-A 3.2 of 10Gbps and a USB-A 2.0 port.
The new Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Core will be available in the U.S. from July for $ 169.99. A price and date for Europe and the Netherlands is not yet known, but the adapter may soon become available for approximately the same price in euros.
