Belinda Bencic trusts to be Roger Federer’s partner at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games

The 2021 Australian Open is just two weeks away and players are gearing up for the mega Slam. Although Roger Federer is not playing in the tournament, his Hopman Cup mixed doubles partner and former world No. 4 Belinda Bencic seems quite excited about it.

He has even transformed his hotel room into a training ground and is making the most of his quarantine. Recently, Belinda Bencic was asked if she would pair up with Roger Federer again at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

She seemed quite confident about it, but seemed unsure if the Olympics would take place this year. “Sure,” began a confident Bencic. “But it also depends on whether there will be an Olympic Games”

Bencic also stressed that he wanted Federer to play more and more. She mentioned that she likes to play with him and that she would love to do it again. “I hope Roger continues to play, I would love to play with him again,” added the Swiss player.

The Federer and Bencic pair enjoyed great success at the 2019 Hopman Cup in Australia. Therefore, he was also asked if he still had any contact with Federer and his wife Mirka lately.

“Yes, I keep in touch with both of them. It’s good of Roger that I can always ask him anything when I need experienced advice, ”concluded Bencic. He also said that Federer is a good man and that he can approach him whenever he needs advice.

Bencic will start his 2021 campaign soon at the 2021 Australian Open. He certainly looks in great shape and will be aiming for his first Grand Slam title in Melbourne this year. Fans will also be looking forward to seeing her play Federer again.

Will Federer team up with Bencic at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics? Or will COVID-19 play spoilsport and deny us the chance to see them in action together?
