Believes Sweden needs health personnel from other Nordic countries to cope with the crisis

It is the organization Sweden’s Municipalities and Regions (SKR) that asks the government to ask, among other things, Norway to contribute with health personnel, Ekot reports in Swedish Radio on Friday.

According to the organization, this can be a way to ensure intensive care in Sweden at the same time as the employees can be sure of having a holiday.

Although the pressure on the intensive care units in Sweden is somewhat lighter than before, it is still strained, and in many regions there is great concern that the influx of patients with covid-19 will remain extensive.

Minister of Social Affairs Lena Hallengren says that the question is analyzed quickly.

– The government has received the letter from SKR and is now analyzing it quickly. For the government, it is important that the intensive care units are secured, and that the staff who for over a year have made an incredible effort, can recover, Hallengren writes in a written comment to TT.
