“Destination X”, the TV game that has been a hit in Belgium since its broadcast in February, is coming to France on M6.
TELEVISION – M6, already very fond of adventure programs with in particular Beijing Express, renews itself by offering – soon – a production from Belgium: Destination X. This program has been broadcast since February 20 on the Belgian Flemish antenna VTM.
The principle is as follows: 10 candidates travel together in a bus covered with opaque windows without knowing the destination. The objective for the participants is to guess where they are. To do this, the organizers provide clues and sometimes traps such as “to make believe that the ten passengers were at sea… while they were stationed in the middle of a plain” as detailed The Parisian this Tuesday, April 25.
The contestant who stands furthest from their true location on a map is eliminated.
A hit tv game
It was during the international television market, on April 17 in Cannes, that the M6 group announced the launch of this new programme. “We got it upstream” says Guillaume Charles, general director of programs at M6, au Parisian.
This game was a real success in Belgium, where it was broadcast for the first time. According to Guillaume Charles, the audience reached “up to 42% market share on the commercial target”. The director himself tested the adventure: “during the pitch session, they brought the bus back to France and asked us to wear masks to try the adventure”, he reveals, “and it’s true that it’s very disturbing, especially when the windows become less opaque. »
France is not the only one to resume this program with the production company ITV Studios France, at the origin, among other things, of The Voice or 4 weddings for a honeymoon. The United States and the United Kingdom will also release it soon.
The release date of Destination X on M6 is not yet known, but it won’t be for a few months.
