Belgium under the spell of enfant terrible: Club Brugge striker refuses to leave the villa

Mbaye Diagne has once again made himself impossible in Belgium. The enfant terrible of Club Brugge (28) refuses to leave his rental home in Knokke-Heist.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Diagne ’causes problems even in corona times’. Diagne is under contract with Club Brugge until June 30, but the temporary agreement of his rented villa ended on April 30. However, he refuses to leave his home, despite several requests from the landlord.

Diagne points to the corona crisis in the case and therefore could not leave the house. To top it off, he sent messages to the owner’s wife at night and threatened the landlord by phone. “Material damage and nuisance were rife,” HLN adds. Due to Diagne’s obstinacy, the new tenants, who would move into the villa on 1 May, are on the street.

Also sporty, Diagne was not exactly an added value for Club Brugge. Since the penalty drama in the Champions League, with which he killed a stunt against Paris Saint-Germain, the Senegalese striker has not played for the Belgian club for a minute. In the summer he returns to Galatasaray.
