Belgium exceeds 15,000 corona deaths: as if the entire municipality is no longer there | Coronavirus is spreading

In the first wave, with the first death on March 10, 9,897 Belgians died of corona. That is 66% of the total. The second wave started on August 31 and has so far killed 5,128, or 34%. The fact that there are now fewer deaths has nothing to do with the virus itself. That has not been weakened or made less fatal. According to Sciensano, advancing knowledge of the virus has led to better treatment methods, resulting in fewer deaths. Initially, the number of deaths rose very quickly in the first wave. On April 14, one month and four days after the first death, the milestone of 5,000 deaths was already taken. In this wave it took two and a half months to reach that limit.
