ANTWERP – Due to a serious traffic accident near Antwerp, the E19 highway towards the Netherlands is blocked. The Flemish Traffic Center reports that twelve trucks and one car were involved in the pile-up.
Five people were injured.
The accident leads to traffic jams and long waiting times. The motorway is completely closed at Sint-Job-in-‘t-Goor, between Antwerp and Breda. The cause of the accident has not yet been revealed. According to VRT, none of the victims are in mortal danger.
The Flemish Traffic Center advises drivers to avoid the area. “The settlement will take some time. The amount of traffic is growing rapidly, and as a result we will lose a lot of time,” the center writes on its own website. If you want to drive to the Netherlands via Antwerp, you can do that via the A12 and Bergen op Zoom.
