Belgium and Denmark are building a submarine energy cable together by 2030: get to know Triton

A preliminary study of the past year has shown that the project is both economically and technically feasible. It will be a hybrid interconnector, which can transport energy in both directions. The project would deliver an annual reduction of 4 megatons of CO2. That is the emissions of approximately 1.2 million passenger cars. The plans are part of the implementation of the European Green Deal to be the first climate neutral continent by 2050.
