Belgian telco Orange is struggling with 4G outage – IT Pro – News

An unknown number of Orange customers in Belgium report a 4G outage. He has been playing since Friday evening. The provider also offers 4G for the home and that service has also been interrupted. There is no indication yet of when the problems will be over.

According to an Orange spokeswoman the network is ‘unstable’ due to technical problems. The situation would already be improving, which also seems to be reflected in the downward trend in error messages on Allestoringen.be† The disruption is not limited to the Dutch-speaking part of the country; the francophone RTL Info hears from Orange that it is a nationwide issue, although not every customer is affected.

Customers affected by the outage will see a 4G symbol on their smartphones, but will nevertheless have no internet connectivity. A fallback to 3G is not implemented at this time. Calling and texting are still possible.
