Belgian Singer Danzel Wins Hearts in Poland with New Summer Single

Danzel and his wife Kathleen were invited by the Polish television channel TZN to present his new summer single ‘The Best Last Night’ in the morning show ‘Dzień Dbory TZN’. He also announced a new album to be released in Fall 2023. And he had more happy news. “Next year will be the 20th anniversary of the song ‘Pump it up’ and my music career,” he says. “I hear I’m popular in Poland, today I play three times. I don’t know how it happened, but Poland has always been one of the most important markets for me. This is my second home”. Danzel won the Polish television show ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ last year.

With his new summer single ‘The Best Last Night’, Johan Waem – Danzel’s real name – wants to encourage people to enter into more real social contacts than virtual ones. “Most people forget to meet others. They are constantly on their smartphone and follow social media. It worries me that people who come to my concerts watch them live through their phone’s camera, rather than experiencing the concert with their own eyes. The song is about how we should go back to a time when we had more real social contacts than virtual ones. Live your life and enjoy it as if it were the best last night of your life.”

Danzel’s wife Kathleen, to whom he has been married for twenty-eight years, accompanies the singer to Poland as often as possible. When asked how the singer is in private, he replied: “I usually cook at home, I really like that. At home I am not an artist.
