In the final of the shot put she pulverized the Belgian U18 record with an impressive throw of 17m44. A tour de force that was also good for the first Belgian gold medal.
The four-year-old Belgian record U18 of Myrthe Van Der Borght, which stood at 16m19, was completely swept off the tables.
