Belgian Princess Takes Oath as Officer in Military Academy

The 21-year-old daughter of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, heir to the Belgian throne, joined the military academy in Brussels in September 2020.

After three years of training, she took part in a solemn oath-taking ceremony as an officer, swearing “loyalty to the king, obedience to the constitution and the laws of the Belgian people”.

The princess wore an elegant blue military skirt uniform.
