The robbery took place in the north of Belgium. According to the newspaper Le Figarothe crime was carefully planned and there were four assailants.

The owner of the collection, Ivs Bruinen, estimates the loss at more than 200,000 euros and offers a reward of 10,000 euros to whoever finds the thieves or the stolen items.
