Belgian Girl Fatally Shot: Amsterdam Man and Breda Woman Released, Facing Cocaine Trafficking Charges

The two Dutch people are a man (31) from Amsterdam and a woman (24) from Breda. The woman has now been released, the newspaper writes. The man has also been suspected of large-scale cocaine trafficking in the Netherlands for some time and must appear in court at a later date.

Garage door riddled

This concerns the controversial Belgian case in which a garage door in Antwerp was riddled with bullets last summer. Behind that door the residents were just eating. The 11-year-old girl Firdaous was fatally struck.

It was assumed that it was a drug case, but the police soon announced that the family had nothing to do with drug trafficking. However, some family members are said to be involved in the drugs environment.

‘Paper thin’

According to the lawyers, the evidence against the two is ‘paper thin’ and the newspaper itself also speaks of ‘poorly substantiated’ accusations.

Belgian justice had discovered the two because the man’s DNA was found on a firearm that was found in another case. It also contained the DNA of a previously arrested Belgian suspect.

The Amsterdammer then had a relationship with the woman from Breda, which also brought her into the picture.
