Will Still has had a turbulent few weeks. Arriving first as an interim on the bench at Stade de Reims, the Belgian coach very quickly secured his place as main coach of the Champagne team. A nice job done by the current 8th in Ligue 1, which has not been spared by the requests from other French clubs… and even foreign ones, as evidenced by the interest of Sunderland in particular. A rumor which even earned him explanations about a trip to England (to visit his girlfriend) and a small discussion with the referee of Lens-Reims (2-0 defeat), which he did not really have appreciated.

But among all these speculations about his future, some are not unfounded, as the main person explained to the Belgian press. Indeed, in an interview given to The newspapaer, the 31-year-old technician did not hesitate to mention the different teams that have approached him since his induction at the head of the SdR. And among them, two famous Ligue 1 clubs: “Sunderland was certainly not the first club to show a concrete interest in me (…) Since the start of this season, Stoke, Swansea, Lyon, Rennes and many other clubs have contacted me (…) My next club will most likely be in England, yes. That’s what I have in mind.”
